Drexel is a small town located in Burke County North Carolina which is in the foothills area in the western part of the state. Drexel is famous for the beginnings of Drexel Heritage Furniture. It is a 1 redlight town. It is located along the railroad tracks that runs through most of the towns in this area and ideally located near I-40 and 20 minutes from Highway 321 and 10 minutes from Highway 18 south. Highway 70 is the main thoroughfare in his region.
